The Most Asked Questions When it comes to finding your pup

We know adopting a puppy is a big decision, and it’s natural to have questions along the way. Families from Iowa and from cities like Chicago, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Detroit, and throughout Virginia often reach out with the same questions you may have, so we’ve gathered everything here in one helpful place.

  • Yes. Many of our puppies join families beyond Iowa, including Chicago, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri, Indiana, Nashville, and several East Coast cities like Richmond and Virginia Beach. We offer a personal hand-delivery service so your puppy arrives safely and comfortably.

  • We fly or drive your puppy directly to you, depending on your location. Families love this option because the puppy is with us the entire time, not in cargo or with a third-party shipper. We coordinate travel details with you and keep you updated throughout the journey.

  • Absolutely. Many of our families live hours away and choose to adopt because they want an ethical, family raised breeder they can trust. Distance is not a barrier, and we help you feel confident throughout the entire process.

  • We deliver everywhere, nationwide in the United States. Most commonly deliver puppies to Chicago, Minneapolis, St. Paul, St. Louis, Kansas City, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Milwaukee, Madison, and Indianapolis. We also deliver frequently to Virginia and Maryland.

  • Puppies go home at 8 to 9 weeks. Families on our waitlist are notified when new litters arrive in the order deposits were received.

  • We focus on Shihpoo, Shichon, Poochon, and Shih Tzu puppies. These breeds are often called teddy bear puppies because of their soft coats and loving, family friendly temperaments.
